MANILA, Philippines — Veteran broadcast journalist and dzRH radio reporter Misael “Boy” Gonzales Jr. passed away on Monday. He was 67. Gonzales died at 6:11 a.m. after suffering a stroke, a dzRH report said, citing information from his family. “The entire DZRH and MBC Media Group extends its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Gonzales in the media,” it said in a statement. His family, however, complained that Gonzales was not given proper medical attention until his death, and had been passed around by three public hospitals while he was in critical condition.
