Over seven decades, the Harlem photographer captured shots that helped define the Black Is Beautiful movement – including pictures of big stars and daily African American life. Brathwaite’s family, along with Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Gabrielle Union and Jesse Williams, help tell the story with his stunning archive. Hollie Richardson
