MANILA, Philippines — The Senate finally convened its session on Wednesday with Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, the lone member of the 13-member majority bloc, in attendance. Aside from Escudero, all 11 members of the minority bloc were present in the session. The Senate had been adjourned since Tuesday, during which some members of the 11-member minority bloc walked out of the plenary while debating the proposed online participation of senators in Senate proceedings.
