CEBU CITY, Philippines — Renowned Russian Grandmaster (GM) Ivan Popov is set to treat Cebu’s chess community to a rare 15-board simultaneous exhibition match this month, part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Philippine-Russia diplomatic relations. The official launch of the event was held on Friday, May 8, at the Russian Center of the Philippine-Russian Business Assembly (PRBA) in Banilad, Cebu City.
