LUCENA CITY, Quezon — An environmentalist Catholic priest has warned financial institutions about the social, environmental, and financial risks of supporting the proposed 1,200-megawatt coal-fired power plant in Atimonan, Quezon. “Residents of Atimonan, together with the faith community and environmental advocates, have been protesting the project for more than a decade because of the health and environmental risks it poses,” Fr.
