MANILA, Philippines — Suspected illegal cigarettes worth P13.25 million were found abandoned in Lanao del Sur, the police said. Operatives discovered the contraband in “an open space between residential structures” along Narciso Ramos Highway in Barangay Liangan in Picong town on Wednesday morning, according to a police report from the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO BARMM). It noted that 310 master cases of assorted suspected illegal cigarettes were found.
