OLONGAPO CITY — Residents in parts of this city experienced dangerously high heat index levels on Monday afternoon. Data from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office showed that the heat index at the Barretto Automated Weather Station (AWS) reached 48.0 degrees Celsius at 2:30 p.m., placing it under the “danger” category.
