Netanyahu to meet Trump at White House for first time since Iran war strained ties

US President Donald Trump will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday for the first time since US-Israeli strikes on Iran in late February triggered new regional conflict in the Middle East. Both leaders are expected to downplay their frayed ties after public – and occasionally profane – rebukes from Trump during ceasefire negotiations in April.
