MANILA, Philippines — National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag acknowledged on Monday evening the Senate’s decision to place Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa under protective custody. After a discussion with Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, Matibag told reporters that Dela Rosa will not be arrested for the time being, but is expected to respond to the ongoing investigations. This comes despite the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant issued against the senator.
