CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — An electric pole toppled in Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro Saturday afternoon, killing a motorcycle rider and causing a power outage in 31 barangays. The incident happened at 5:50 p.m. along the Strong Republic Nautical Highway in Crossing, Barangay Sagana. ORMECO General Manager Engr. Humphrey Dolor identified the fatality as Ryan Philip Jamilla, 23, a resident of Barangay Orcunoma in Bongabong. Jamilla’s passenger was injured.
