On Sept. 16, 1810, Father Hidalgo called for Mexico's independence, and that's the date next Wednesday when 18,000 military personnel will march in Mexico City accompanied by flyovers, military equipment and an assortment of animals, in the nation's largest annual patriotic celebration.
