MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – Mandaue City is eyeing the rental of a firefighting drone to boost its ability to solve emergencies, especially high-rise building fires beyond the reach of conventional ladder trucks. A Taiwanese company demonstrated the use of a firefighting drone at the Mandaue City Hall on Monday morning, May 25. The drone is capable of carrying fire hoses up to 100 meters high, which would allow responders to reach the upper floors of tall buildings during fires.
