LTO chief catches ‘reckless’ taxi driver after evading enforcers in QC

MANILA, Philippines – A driver of an electric taxi fleet was personally apprehended by Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chairperson Markus Lacanilao for evading traffic enforcers after allegedly driving recklessly in Quezon City, the agency said on Friday. According to the LTO, the incident occurred along Panay Avenue in Quezon City on Thursday. Citing reports, the agency said the taxi from Green and Smart Mobility nearly hit an LTO mobile patrol vehicle after changing lanes without signaling.
