MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan Second Division entered a not guilty plea for Sen. Jinggoy Estrada over his graft case. Geraldine Faith Econg, the presiding justice of Sandiganbayan and the chairperson of its Second Division, made the move as Estrada said he “wished to remain silent” when asked to enter a plea during his arraignment. The arraignment proceeding continued after the court denied the Omnibus motion, which includes the motion to quash or the formal motion to dismiss the case, filed by Estrada’s camp.
