HEAT INDEX WATCH: Quezon, Cavite brace for extreme levels on May 9, 10

LUCENA CITY — Residents in at least five areas in Region 4-A (Calabarzon) are expected to experience dangerous heat index levels this weekend, May 9 and 10, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). In its 5 p.m. bulletin on Friday, May 8, Pagasa said Cavite City in Cavite province could reach a heat index of 44°C on Saturday and 43°C on Sunday.
