MANILA, Philippines — The highest heat index recorded across the country on Monday, May 25 was 48ºC, specifically in Sangley Point in Cavite, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said. Meanwhile, dozens of other areas also reached “danger” level heat indices, or those ranging between 42°C and 51°C.
