BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Health workers and advocates marched here on Thursday, May 7, demanding reforms in the country’s healthcare system, citing low wages, understaffed hospitals, and continued attacks against community health workers. The mobilization, held in time for National Health Workers’ Day, started at Session Road and ended at Malcolm Square, where participants pressed for higher salaries, better working conditions, increased public health funding, and stronger protection for community health workers.
