LUCENA CITY, QUEZON, Philippines — Selected college students have begun conducting tutorial sessions for 3,855 learners across the Calabarzon region under the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program (TBTP), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region IV-A said on Wednesday. In a report, the DSWD said the tutorial sessions started on May 4 for incoming Grade 2 pupils identified by the Department of Education (DepEd) as struggling readers. The learners are from 250 elementary schools in Bacoor City, Cavite; Lucena City, and 33 municipalities in Quezon province.
