Video released by the NT Emergency Service shows the moment a dog is rescued from a car stranded in raging flood waters on a creek crossing west of Katherine. A helicopter pilot dropped a police officer on top of the vehicle to help the stranded driver and passenger and then went back to retrieve their dog from the vehicle. Although initially hesitant, the dog was eventually helped into the muster helicopter before it flew off to safety
