MANILA, Philippines โ Four new 911 emergency call system command centers have been activated in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Western Visayas, and Eastern Visayas, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced on Thursday. โThe expansion of Unified 911 is designed to shorten response times, improve coordination among responders, and ensure that help reaches those who need it most,โ the DILG explained in a statement. The DILG detailed that each facility was equipped with 21 dialect-sensitive operators and emergency telecommunicators.
