PAGADIAN CITY, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, Philippines — Authorities arrested a 38-year-old construction worker in a late-night buy-bust operation that led to the confiscation of smuggled cigarettes valued at P5.73 million. The intelligence-driven operation was carried out at around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, in Purok Talisay B, Barangay Kawit here. Personnel of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Intelligence Unit (ZSPIU), backed by operatives from the Pagadian City Police Station and the 902nd Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 (RMFB9), conducted the entrapment that resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
