ANGELES CITY, Pampanga โ Authorities are now examining possible legal liability on the part of the contractor and building owner following the collapse of a nine-story structure in Barangay Balibago here, a Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) official said on Tuesday. Fire Supt. Maria Leah Sajili, BFP Central Luzon public information officer, said investigators are also assessing whether structural defects, permit violations, or lapses in safety protocols during construction may have contributed to the incident. โYes, we are looking into that,โ Sajili said when asked if the investigation includes potential liability of the contractor and owner.
