MANILA, Philippines โ Immigration authorities arrested a Chinese national allegedly posing as a Filipino citizen in Palawan and a Nigerian accused of overstaying in the country, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said on Wednesday. The BI identified the Chinese national as Xu Haishen, 39, who was apprehended in Roxas, Palawan, on May 12 during an operation involving immigration agents, police, and intelligence units. The BI said Xu allegedly misrepresented himself as a Filipino citizen and was considered a threat to public interest and national security.
