Cadiz City councilor resigns for health reasons

BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines — Councilor Frances Guanzon of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental, who is currently serving a second term, tendered her resignation on Tuesday, May 26, due to health reasons. Guanzon, 72, a former prosecutor and outstanding Regional Trial Court judge, said she submitted her resignation to the Cadiz City Council, which will take effect on July 1.
