The health minister, Mark Butler, said five Australians and one New Zealander will be subject to quarantine at the Bullsbrook Centre for National Resilience north-east of Perth, next to RAAF Base Pearce, which is where the passengers' repatriation flight will land in Australia. The passengers will quarantine for three weeks, which is short of the 42-day potential incubation period for hantavirus, and Butler said that further advice will be sought from chief health officers on what arrangements should take place beyond the initial three weeks.
