MANILA, Philippines — Former government officials, lawyers, church groups, and Catholic schools on Friday launched a campaign to gather signatures for a people’s initiative aimed at enacting an anti-political dynasty measure that would limit political families to just one national and one local post. Through the “Dapat 1sa Lang” campaign, the groups aim to gather nearly 7 million signatures, as they need 10 percent of all registered voters nationwide, including 3 percent from every legislative district, for the petition to be accepted.
