LUCENA CITY, QUEZON, Philippines — A total of 106,063 tricycle drivers in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region have received P5,000 each in financial assistance from the national government as of Tuesday, May 5, as part of an effort to cushion the impact of rising fuel prices. In a report, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region IV-A said total disbursements have reached P530 million since payouts began on April 8.
